marathon VI Gold

IMG_20220220_091834

Today’s adventure was to run between two gold post boxes. These are the post boxes painted in 2012 to celebrate the GB Olympian gold medal winners. Strangely neither of the ones run between today was actually awarded to an athlete [those all seem to be on the outskirts of London?] The first was to celebrate the place of the Games [Stratford] the second was to mark the project launch [Westminster Abbey].

Ended up doing another unplanned marathon day. Not bad pace. Got back before the winds picked up again.

Having now also at last found this map/database, I can also start another adventure that I have been interesting in for years; post box bagging. Unfortunately it gives no information on Royal Ciphers.
