So, some have asked what a 50/50 recovery naughty food day looks like? Post last marathon on Sunday it was a burger and chips and a stout, and a few hours later it was a chilli pizza and 4 beers. Yesterday it was one meal only: Litre choc milk with half pint of prawns drowned in thousand island dressing, onion rings, slab of extra mature cheddar, vine tomatoes and mustard followed by a small chicken curry and a pint of shandy, with choc coated raisins for afters. That’s the naughty food done with for now. Last thing I want to do is put back on all the weight I have lost running 1,310 miles this last 50 days. It will be interesting to get on some scales this week to see how much [little] I have lost?
A nice walk a couple of miles after work to the British Heart Foundation Canary Wharf jog tonight for a social recovery run. 4 miles, then I had to rush to the loo mid run. I guess it will take a while to rebalance my fluids – solids intake after 7 weeks of 4+ litres a day of necessary liquid I guess I overdid the fluids today?
I am getting used to the fact that I stopped after only 50 marathons, even though well within my capability it seems, as I am looking forward to doing some pacier running from here on in. I put the medal to the metal for a few short sections tonight and it felt like nothing.

Average run time 3:57.02 and very interesting to see that largely the faster runs were the cooler days and vice verse. Certainly the slowest day at 4:35 and 30C when temperature adjusted works out at 3:45 so I was still working hard on the hot days.
