I was struck by my monthly mileage graph posted last week [of the last 3.5 years]. It amused me that it would be interesting to turn some measure of 26.2 [years/months/weeks/days] into a graph that then became an elevation map for a marathon run. So 26 years and 2 months or 26 months and 2 weeks or 26 weeks and 2 days etc.
So if each mile was equated to some height in ft say? Here are a couple of the resulting contour maps from my years of running:
The striking thing about the first ‘map’ is that after 4 years of steady improvement it then took the next 10 years to get into a regular pattern of running.
Today just another very easy recovery day at 4 miles jogged before and after the Run England session.
