Just a slow jog home via evening Run England group today for a 3 mile recovery. Great to see that everyone enjoyed their weekend runs and got more PBs [speed or distance].
With all the talk of late of ‘assisted’ athletic performances, I wonder if there’ll ever be a category somewhere between ‘normal’ runners and disabled blade runners? Robo-runners aided by minimal technology. As this kind of tech makes its way into everyday 21st century infantry operations, I see no reason why there wouldn’t be interest in an event based on it. After all if waving a ribbon about can be an Olympic sport why can’t stair climbing or parkour or hill sprints?
