I’m always on the lookout for new information, especially concerning longer long distance events [which I am comparatively new at], but there seems little concrete guidance out there?
Good then to find a snippet re: training for 7 marathons in 7 days from ultra marathoner Richard Donovan, as it at least gives me an idea of what I need to get close to; and think I should be able to manage.
MF: What kind of training did you do to get ready?
RD: I did about 10 weeks of 100 miles of running a week, with one marathon included each week.
Though other places have much more ‘low key’ schedules, so how do you decide? Judge from what you have done previously that worked, and choose something in between the lower and higher plans; for a first time anyway.
Today again just the minimum-ish distance of 17 miles. Lovely to see everyone working hard this morning, at the start of the Half/Marathon training.
Looking forward to seeing results of how some of the guys did at the Regent’s Park 10K this morning. Big Ups to Mike, still in the MMM at day 16/30.
