Easy recovery day today, just a little jog with kids at lunchtime and then a slow reflective run before evening Run England group. Quads a bit tight but surprised at how comfortable it is a day after 40 miles [as I haven’t trained for this for over a year] especially given that the marathon was only a week ago; really?
Seems to suggest that I recover [these days] fairly quickly from longer runs and that it is the faster stuff that ‘hurts’ more? I will never recover as quickly as Steve Way though! Strangely, I believe he became the UK 100km champion at the same place I did the marathon last Saturday.
